rivervalleypuppies@yahoo.com Mia ~ liver & white bench springer female from Abby x Jack. Hello Mike and Kris,I've wanted to send you some photos of Mia for such a long time. She is 1 year, 4 months in the photos attached. The kids think she looks so much like Abby. I can see some Jack in her too. Regardless, she is the most wonderful girl, and more than we could ever have hoped for.People are forever commenting not only on her beauty, but about what a terrificly sweet temperment she has, and she is so well behaved. Training Mia was probably the easiest thing we have ever had to do. She is, and always has been, so attentive as well as intune to us, that she almost trained herself. "Miss" Mia is also such a smart girl. She brings a smile and a sense of happiness to us each and every time we look at, cuddle with, and play with her.We love Mia to pieces, and she is quick to return the sentiment - always. We will be forever grateful that our daughter found River Valley Puppies on the web, and that our match with Mia was made. Our thanks go out to you, and we hope all is well with you and your large family, - Chris, Jill, Jacob, Anna & Mia Hi River Valley - I was just on your website and saw your note about sending pictures of your past puppies and thought I would pass these along. I got Chase from you two years ago already (he was born 1/17/05, Hershey & Max's litter) and he has become a perfect little boy, except for the jumping of course :o) He's doing great here in Fort Lauderdale and his favorite thing in the world is going to the beach, jumping waves and fetching his tennis ball. He attracts quite an audience and people always comment how both beautiful and athletic he is (he can now jump OVER the waves!). He goes to doggie day camp twice a week too where he gets to run around all day with his buddies. He's also the sweetest dog ever, loves to give and receive hugs and I'm pretty sure he thinks he's a lap dog! He's the perfect dog. We also got a Vizsla last summer so Chase would have company when we're not home and they get along great. One of the pictures is actually from the Vizsla's first birthday which was yesterday. We love to spoil them! Thank you for our AMAZING dog!!! Jason & Shannon Pics to be posted on the past GSP puppy page soon. Hi, Our "baby" isn't such a baby anymore - he'll be 3 this June. His name is Tucker and he comes from Livie x Lucky and lives in SW Michigan. He is a beautiful dog, in looks and spirit. He's a big guy, but thinks he is a lap dog - always wants to be near Ted or myself. He's a pretty laid-back dog, but still likes to play anytime we're up for it. He'll get a real bone every now and then and alway likes to stash them away for later enjoyment. We find them in the corners of the couch, under blankets and even behind the toilet! Tucker has been a great pleasure and is the joy of our lives. Thanks so much, Ted & Mary Lawrence, MI See how handsome Tucker is on the past Springer puppy page !! Hunter, liver & white male Springer~ Hey Guys, This is Amy and Hunter from Long Island, I was just emailing to say that I like the new look of your website and its easy to use also. Just in case you wanted feedback. I hope Kris is doing okay with her back, I know you guys were having a little bit of trouble keeping up. I love your horses, you are so blessed to have such beautiful land and animals. You guys have my dream home/life..Hunter is doing great, he is one year old as of yesterday! I am so happy he is not a full coated springer, which is what I was hoping because of the maintence, I only have to trim his paws every couple weeks and I brush him out. He has beautiful feathering and colors, he has really turned out to be a very good companion. Thanks for everything. When I get some good pictures of Hunter I'll send them your way. -Amy GSP, male, liver & white patched & ticked. Hi from karlina & son, We got our boy in 2006 and he is a joy. Thanks for the great pup! Beeker, liver roan GSP ~ Hi, I just wanted to tell you about our loving, handsome, healthy Beeker. Oh, I forgot smart. He has such a great disposition, always happy yet always a watch dog because of his loyalty. Beeker loves you if your young or old. He loves you if you have two or four legs. Everyone considers him to be a stunning dog. I didn't mention active did I? Well, he sure is. He really should be out hunting. His energy causes him to be somewhat mischievous. He will run past you with something he shouldn't have for attention and you better tell him to leave it. He teases you with his toys and always wins. My daughter, who fortunately has lots of energy, is his buddy. His response is immediate and he is filled with excitement when she calls for him. They actually play hide and seek together. The more people, especially kids, that are over the house the happier he is. Because he likes to be with you he'll even attempt to stand in the tub while you bathe. Don't bother to close him out of rooms because he can open doors. At times I feel proud that I have trained HIM. Who am I kidding??? For example, I was trying to find his ball on the other side of the fence for him. Without the help of his body motions and eye contact, it would still be lost. See how well he's trained (me)? He follows me everywhere, sits by me, and sleeps by me and I would have it no other way. I could go on but I think you have the idea. I was worried about having him shipped such a distance, turns out I was the only one traumatized. You can be proud that you offer such a heartfelt service. Our best to you and your dogs. Sincerely, Sharon Penelope, liver & white Springer~ Just a quick note to let you know that Penelope is doing great! I've been bad about taking photos but when I do I will send on along. She is an absolutely beautiful dog and she's very loved...We had her fixed last month which turned into a bit of a production - but all is well now. And we've discovered why they are called Springers - I went in the kitchen one night last week and found her on the counter with her butt sticking out of the sink, cleaning up the dinner dishes...how she "sprung" up there we'll never know! And we've discovered that she is a much better hike-with-you dog than a leash dog - much happier roaming at 10 feet away from us then being tied to a "rope" - but she handles our neighborhood walks just fine. She's been excellent with the kids, and contrary to what I had read about Springers, I've found her to be very trainable in many ways - she knows "kennel" means go in the kennel, she knows "get out of the kitchen" means lay down at the edge of the tile on the "border", she was fairly easy to train to "go quick" in one spot in the yard, and she stays off of the kids when they are running around in the backyard. She's turned into the talk of the neighborhood - everyone wants to pet her when we're out in the evenings - her freckles are so cute! She's stayed small so far - not more than 30 lbs right now - which is fine by us. She sleeps with our daughter until she falls asleep and then jumps into bed with me until I fall asleep, and the Greg banishes her to the kennel for the night...I'd fight to let her stay in bed but she really seems to sleep much better in her little house... She isn't a barker (great) but she is a digger (we're working on that...) and if I could get her to stop jumping up on everyone that she "loves" so much, we'd be in dog heaven. But all in all, she has been fantastic, and her puppy time has been much easier than I thought it would be. Feel free to post any of my comments on your website if you would like. And again, thanks for everything. Whitney River Valley's Revolution, 'Rev', solid liver male GSP~ Rev is doing well. He likes to tear up cardboard boxes while we're away, but other than that he's a great dog. My dad took him to North Dakota on a hunting trip, and my dad came back just so excited about him. Rev followed my dad for the first few trips out, then started wandering around. He has a great hunting instinct, because even hunting with another puppy a few months older than him didn't distract him from getting a couple hard, perfect points. He likes tennis balls, but his favorite is a stuffed horse, which he finally tore the top of the head off of and it's stuffing is mushed into my carpeting. :) He's a big beast. He needs filling out, but he is gonna be BIG. Already the tallest, and heavy and he's only 11 months!! He're are some pics of him, some from this last summer and some from a few days ago. Everyone loves him, but they always think that he's a weimaraner/Lab mix because no one knows that gsp come in solid liver, lol. Happy holidays!! ~* Dona Luca, liver & white Springer~ Luca, liver & white Springer~ I know it has been quite some time since contacting you, however I wanted to thank you again for Luca (Abby x Kirby Nov '04). Luca is certainly a lively, yet sweet dog who loves to chase the squirrels and play fetch as much as possible. My fiance's family has another Springer that is about ten and we are all convinced that with Luca around he acts like he is years younger. I've attached one of many of the pictures I have of Luca. Thanks again. Jeffrey (pic at bottom) I read where you guys are/have moved. How exciting! Closer to home finally! Just a quick update on our baby. 9 years old, not quite a baby anymore! He doesnt act his age thats for sure. All I can say is that he is such a wonderful part of our family. We dont know what we would do without him. He goes with us everywhere and greets all of our guests. He is 1 in a million. Thanks again for the best dog ever. I am so glad I found your website after these years of losing touch. God bless! MaryAnne and Jinx in Oklahoma. Maggie, liver tri female Springer~ Just checking in to tell you maggie is doing great. She is completely housebroken, growing like a weed and enjoying just about everything and everybody she comes across. Only three months old but already quite a personality. Thanks for such a great dog. I will send you some more pictures next week. Michael Sally, liver & white female springer~ Hi! I have some more pictures of Sally. She just turned 9 months old. Sheis doing so well, she behaves and knows lots of tricks. She has yet to meet another animal she doenst like. She even likes cats! She is usually themost popular pup when we go to the dog park. She runs with all the bigger dogs, and always wants to play along. She absolulty LOVES the snow. She goes out there and eats it, and kicks it up with her own paws, and then tries to grab it with her mouth. When there is snow on the ground, I can just let her go and she amuses herself. She really is the greatest dog we could ever ask for, and although we have worked with her a lot, I feel we got really lucky. She trained so well, and has been eager to learn new things. She is the most loveable thing in the world. She is happiest when I sit on the floor with her, and she comes over and curls up in my lap with a toy or a bone. Even though she's getting bigger, and doesnt fit so well, she still tries to curl up on my lap everynight! There is nothing in the world as great as coming home each day and seeing her excitment and love she has for us both. Oh, and she is completey out of her crate now. She stays in the house all day and has never had an accident. Our friends are amazed that a dog so young doesn't pee in the house, or chew on anything but her toys. She really is the perfect dog, and we love her SO much. Thanks! Jen and Brian Liver & white female springer~ Just a very quick update on Gemma. She's 34 pounds now, at 10.5 months, and is a great girl! Every single person who meets her says she's the most beautiful Springer they've seen, and the sweetest natured dog too! She eats well, is very healthy, and very energetic. I've attached a picture I took this past Saturday on a 9 mile hike we did in the local mountains. Isn't she gorgeous? Take care, hope you are both well! ~Joe Liver tri female springer~ Molly is an absolutely amazing puppy! She slept the entire way home from Michigan as we passed her from lap to lap. She has such a sweet disposition and can't wag that tail fast enough when she sees us. She is already running for the door when she needs to be let out and has had very few accidents inside. We shoveled the snow and made a small area for her to go potty in the backyard, but she loves the snow so much, she just leaps right over the snow mound and bounces around til she finds a spot. When she comes in, she heads straight for the kitchen to wait for her treat reward. She is SO smart! We are crate training her and at night she sleeps in it right next to my bed. She had a few wimpers the first couple of nights, but is now sleeping through the night with no problem. We all love her to pieces and are so happy to have her. I'll keep you updated with pictures as she grows. Good luck with your upcoming move! Jackie Black tri male springer~ I just wanted to let you know that the puppy has settled in nicely and is doing wonderful. We registered him as River Valley's Winter White, but his call name will be Winn. What a smart little boy!!! He has gone to the doorwall when he needs to go outside since the first moment we brought him home. I have never had such an easy dog to house train (really, I didn't have to train him at all). He knows the "sit", "come", "stay", and "let's go" commands. He loves every member of the family and runs to the door when he hears someone come home. He has already been to school with my daughter in first grade. I wasn't sure what to expect in a classroom with 24 children, but he was just wonderful and basked in all the attention he received. No one could believe how calm, friendly, gentle and well-behaved he is (not to mention adorable). Winn is a very curious pup and is enjoying exploring his new home tremendously. He loves being outside in the yard and especially loves the snow. He loves to retrieve anything we throw (we hope to get a pheasant wing for him soon). His passion, though, is playing with our youngest cat, Shadow. Winn will wait by the basement door endlessly waiting for Shadow to come upstairs. You always know when Shadow is coming up the stairs because Winn will point. Winn also loves our 8 year old springer, Spot. They are often curled up together sleeping on the rug. As you can see, we are very proud of our new little pup and love him to pieces. With Thanks, The Medley Family Liver & white female springer~ She has been having a great time with all of us here. She is well adjusted and is actually quite spoiled already!! I haven’t left her much, not for more than an hour at a time. She rides with me in the car to take and pick up the girls at school. She sleeps with us in our bed " thank goodness its a king size " and goes all night without having an accident. The girls, Schipp and I love her to pieces and are thrilled about having her part of the family. We have a pretty old sheltie collie which is very set in her ways and doesn’t have a good rapport with the children. Lady is her name and she doesn’t take well to other animals " well, she actually ignores them. It has been hard for her to ignore Trixie who chases her around the house constantly. It is really quite comical. But, we are glad that Lady is now getting some good exercise. I took some pictures of Trixie today and will email them to you as soon as I have them developed. Liver & white female springer~ Just wanted to let you know that Bailey is doing just fine. She is very playful with the kids and seems to be adjusting well. She sleeps in bed with the boys and loves to drink the cats water. The boys run around in the yard and she chases them and barks. They love throwing her toys so she can go get them and bring them back. We love her so much. She is a joy! Geralyn Black tri male springer ~ Jasper is the greatest puppy. Everyone just falls in love with him, he's quite the social dog! We'll send pictures when we get better organized. Thanks again for a great dog and we look forward to the next one! Ken and Lori We want to thank you for allowing us to visit with you and your beautiful dogs last week. We really enjoyed playing with Molly and Lucky's babies. What adorable and friendly puppies they are. It was hard for us to not want to take home the 2 chubby babies, Duddits and Bevvy Bear. We cant wait to pick our girl. Everybody was so well behaved and watching the adults running and playing together was a plus. We were amazed at how well they all get along together and how gorgeous they are all. Seeing the shiny and glossy coats made us decide to find a Buckeye retailer, we will be switching from Eukanuba to Buckeye. Again it was a joy to visit you and your family. It is obvious you spend a lot of time with them and their temperments are amazing. Thank you so much!!! The Wagner's Liver tri springer male~ I named him Chavo, and he is doing great. :) He's such a good puppy! At 8 wks, he learned the commands sit, shake, down, and roll over. I don't think I've never had a smarter dog. I attached a picture of him that I just took a few mins ago. Everybody "ooo"s and "aaah"s over him every time we go out. He's such a beautiful dog. I'm going to enroll him in puppy classes soon now that he's 10 wks. His housebreaking is coming along but not yet perfect. I know for sure that he knows that he's not supposed to go in the house, but sometimes he forgets to let us know that he's gotta go. I'll keep you posted about how he's doing as his obedience, and when he's old enough, agility training get going. Bianca Liver roan GSP female~ Zoe is doing great! She is 98% house trained. She is growing like a weed. I took her to the vet yesterday for some booster shots and she was up to 13.4 pounds. She was only 7.6 when we took her the first time. She is a smart dog already. She knows here, sit, no, kennel, crate, fetch, and okay very well. When she is excited or tired she is likely to ignore them. I started yesterday with the whistle command for "here". She seems to be picking that up pretty well. She has a little too much energy for the cat's liking but they are civil to each other. I am sending a picture of her next to her bed. I hope everything is going well for you up there. How is the house coming along? Jim Liver tri springer female ~ I just wanted to email you and tell you what a wonderful little girl I have!!! Precious and Kirby really produced a great little girl in my Joni. She is such a happy puppy and very well socialized. She knows her name and her housebreaking is going really well. Thank you so much for such a great puppy. I am looking forward to a long and loving relationship with her. Thanks again, Barbie. Just wanted to let you know how much we love Bug. She has fit right into our family .She loves to sleep and cuddle with us. If one of the children is sick she will lay with them and keep them company... What a wonderful breed . She already weighs 29 pounds and loves to play ball. We are going to take her on her first camping trip memorial weekend... Black & white springer female~ She likes being called Gracie. Maybe it reminds her of her sister. She is really a lot of fun. She is picking up on tricks very quickly. We do have a crate...we keep her in it at night and when we go places. Yesterday we went out on the internet to get some helpful hints on potty training and you are right, the praise is very important after she goes outside. I think she will get the idea quicker now, we just need to be patient with her. You guys must of work with her a lot, cuz she really knows the word "NO", and she knows how to sit, its really cool. She now lays down and rolls over...not quite on command but she is getting it. She is just really sweet. Hopefully this weekend I will have time to down load some pictures and send them to you. Thank you again, We will keep in touch. Cindy, Ed & Alysha White & liver ticked male GSP~ Hi, Everything is going well, he sure is a sweet heart. We are working on the potty training. We had a dog carrier all fixed up with a blanket for Briar to sleep in. That lasted about 10 minutes, Nick can't let him cry for very long. He seems like he wants to eat more and more. The pictures were taken this morning, Nick took him out for his morning p and when they came in, they layed down on the couch and fell asleep. I haven't even showed the pictures to Nick yet. They took turns snoring in each others ears, it was sweet so I had to take the picture. I'll keep in touch have a great day. Mary Liver roan GSP male~ I thought I'd email you an update on Stoley. He went to the vets last week and weighs almost 10 lbs. He is growing fast !! Sometimes he seems bigger from night to morning. He is full of fun and giving us a lot of hard work but so much enjoyment. As soon as I can I will send a pic. Cindy Liver roan GSP male~ He is beautiful!! He slept with John and I last night. I think he misses the other puppies maybe, he whines a little. Always no further than 2 feet from me. He is taking a nap now. It's like having a little baby again. He is eating and drinks a lot. The chihuahua plays with him and the terrier too. The collie and bichon are older and pretty mad about the whole thing. They'll come around. They are not being mean. I will get some pictures taken for you. He is a real sweetie, very smart. Love those eyes! Trish I totally forgot to tell you, Finch (Angel) is a little fisherman, We took him to this lake by our house, turned around for a sec and looked back at him and he had a fish in his mouth, it was so hilarious! We threw it back but thought it was funny that he caught it. He loves to swim, Andy takes him swimming over in the lake sometimes and he loves it! Well just thought I would share those things about him. Nicole Liver roan GSP female~ Just wanted to update you with Heidi's progress. Today she went to the vet for her 3rd set of shots and check up. She is currently 10lbs 4oz and getting taller every day. We take her back in 2 weeks for her rabies shot. Our Vet is very impressed by her! He was talking to his staff about what an excellect breed she is and how she was in such perfect shape. She is truly a beautiful dog and we couldn't be any happier with her. She is no longer sleeping with us and we are attempting to potty train her. We have a Midwest-Life Stage crate coming in on Monday to help with that. Well, hope is all with you and yours! Saw pics of your new puppies - very cute. Oh, we decided to register Heidi as "River Valley's Sweet Pea Heidi" what do ya think? Cordially, Tammy
